Looking Far and Wide
Maybe we will see a 1933 Rolls Royce Phantom II Boat Tail Skiff like this one.
Given that the post of September 8 featured an over the top Tramontana from Spain and given that we at AllCarCentral.com will do everything we can to bring our visitors the best. We have decided to travel to Spain and parts east to find more interesting cars in their own environment. Possibly we will find some locals that will send us photos and data straight from their towns so that we at AllCarCentral.com will not be forced to make these long journeys to the far-off lands, like the birth place of Ferrari for instance.
It’s a tough life but someone has to live it
Keep your eyes on this and the www.AllCarCentral.com Site.

Corvette in Huntington Beach, California
1953/2003 Commemorative Edition Corvette
We at AllCarCentral.com go to great lengths to find the interesting cars to post. This special was sitting on the street in Huntington Beach, CA. It is carrying a numbered Advanced Automotive Technologies Registration plaque noting it to be Number 089 of its series.
Advanced Automotive Technologies produced a limited production of the 1953/2003 Commemorative Edition Corvette which combines the retro styling of the original 1953 Corvette with the modern power and comforts of the 2000's Corvette. However it is not a vehicle officially endorsed by General Motors.
The vehicle is based on a customer provided Chevrolet Corvette C5 convertible or Corvette Hardtop (not hatchback). All new body panels are installed using the same attachment locations as production panels. A small recess cut into the rear trunk inner fiberglass to clearance the new deck lid contours is the only modification to production vehicle. There are no structural modifications. All safety related items remain intact.

Over-Over-The-Top-All-Car-Weekend: Part 1
This take-no-prisoners, car was setting just outside the wine-but-no-drive Iconic tent.
The Tramontana from Spain.
I now have a chance to report on the fantastic Monterey California ‘Over-Over-The-Top-All-Car-Weekend’ that happens every August. As previously noted, we had received several invitations and confirmations to cover many of the automotive unveilings, shows and races that were more than filling up the 4 days we were there.
Things almost came off as planned. Over all, with one major exception, the weekend was a success. In the past, Thursday has been the day to photograph and document the grand automobiles, which are placed around the green that was the Blackhawk Exposition Sale at Pebble Beach. The event was not available this year, due to the economy, I presume. Although this was a disappointment, there were many other things to do to fill in the afternoon. We chose to shoot the cars of the Pebble Beach Tour d’elgance while they were in Carmel.
This allowed us to be close to our afternoon appointment with ICONIC Motors. My understanding and I have since reviewed the missives from Iconic Motors, and can not see where I may have misread, was that we were invited to do a ride/drive in their newly released Iconic AC Roadster. Mind you, the new Porsche Panamera 4 door sedan was just up the road being test-driven. I had chosen the very “Hot Flashy Open Roadster” over the more conservative sedan.
So can I say that I was not ecstatic when we arrived at the Iconic Motors tent, expecting an adrenalin rush but receiving a glass of wine and tour of an exposed chassis intended to show-off the high-tech engineering of their look-alike AC Cobra Roadster. Wine is fine but not a replacement for Roadsters or Porsches. Come back tomorrow they said. However the bigger disappointment was still yet to come.

Last Augusts Happenings
Jay Leno looking over the line-up of old Bentley racecars at Pebble Beach Concours dElegancel® 2009
Ok I am back and recovered from all the running around. This running only gets harder as one gets older.
(We are looking for photographers which will shoot at auto events from around the world. Log onto www.AllCarCentral.com and go to the contact page to send us your contact information and where you would like to shoot and report on.)
Since my last post my team and I have covered and shot the Carmel California Tour, the unveiling of the Iconic Roadster, the unveiling of the Infiniti Essence EXT Concept car, the new Bentley Mulsanne, the newly relocated and rejuvenate Concorso Italiano at Monterey California, Pebble Beach Concours dElegancel® and made a quick stop into the Monterey Historic race (more on this one latter). Also I did three days at the Indycar race at Infineon Raceway, Sonoma, California. All this can be accessed through the first page at; www.AllCarCentral.com for the full stories.
We have posted twelve new pages covering the events and some of the cars mentioned above. So you should find some interesting things to look at.
AllCarCentral.com is also placing more news stories on the opening page for reader’s enjoyment so give a look down into the center of the opening page. This covers new car releases and other bits that may not get wide publication.
